SDJ has played a number of concerts with Sixpence None the Richer. Mark Nash (formerly of PfR) played drums on some demos Seven Day produced for new songs after Matt Sumpter left the band.
Brian McSweeney toured with Audio Adrenaline for the "Signs of Life tour" with Steven Curtis Chapman & Carolyn Arends in early '97. Brian took Barry Blair's place for the tour. If you wanna see a picture of me with them from that tour... click here!
Seven Day's first concert was in the local mall, playing for a Youth for Christ event.
The female vocalist in the song 'Forgive Me' is Brian McSweeney's wife.
The word 'Sustenence' (the title of their 2nd album :o) to Chris Beaty means "necessary food for survival". He says "We thought it was a cool word and decided to use it."
Their first demo (self-titled) was recorded in a living room, bedroom, and bathroom (for vocals, of course -- they always sound better there). The additional songs on the second were recorded in the sanctuary of a local church. Guitar amps were in the baptistry.
Seven Day Jesus has been a band since 1989 and has gone through at least two name changes.
More To Come!
